Every gift you give through Elah is handled with integrity and care. We follow strict financial guardrails to ensure accountability, transparency and the flexibility to invest wisely for long-term impact. Here’s a brief explanation of how funds are allocated:
80% Directly To the Field
In fiscal year, 80% of every dollar went straight to program work — including education, medical care, nutrition, child protection and equipment with children living in poverty and their families.
20% for Fundraising & Administration
The remaining 20% supported the essential operations that make this vision possible — staffing, systems and outreach that connects sponsors with children. These investments keep Compassion’s work sustainable and growing to reach more children.
Our Philosophy

Inviting the next child (and their sponsor) into the program
Sustaining and enhancing our ability to deliver excellent programs
These investments are typically referred to as “program,” “fundraising” and “administrative” expenses, respectively.
