About ELAH FOUNDATION
The ELAH FOUNDATION Sustainable Foundation was established to provide comprehensive support and assistance to impaired children under the age of 15. Our mission is to safeguard the psychological development of disadvantaged children, prevent potential issues, and raise awareness about the rights and challenges faced by disabled children. By fostering community engagement, we aim to create a supportive environment for their growth and integration into society.

Abrahamu Selassie Emmanuel, born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, currently resides in Virginia, USA. Inspired by his own childhood disability, which left his left hand nearly unusable, Abrahamu founded ELAH FOUNDATION to address the challenges faced by disabled children in Ethiopia. Having experienced similar struggles, he is deeply committed to improving the lives of these children and invites everyone to join him in this noble cause.

Our Mission
ELAH FOUNDATION is dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by young disabled children, securing their rights, and providing essential aids and services. We aim to identify and implement services that enhance the quality of life for disabled children, ensuring their active participation in Ethiopia’s economic and social development.
Our Impact
Over 7.8 million Ethiopians live with disabilities, with 12.1% being adults aged 15 and older. (Source: UNICEF, 2016)
ELAH FOUNDATION will directly impacted 1,250 disabled children and 100 family members annually.
Provided education, housing, and medical support to over 500 disabled children in Addis Ababa.
Distributed mobility aids and nutritional support to 300+ beneficiaries in 2024.
